With this year being the 70th anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb it was there were very special lessons shared by all schools this week. Students from all 13 schools were involved in the activities which included reading Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes’ which tells the story of a young girl living in Hiroshima at the time of the atom bombing. Students were then excited to make their own origami cranes. Teachers from all schools did a fantastic job supporting Peta Sensei to make these. Well done!
